My name is Shannon. I’m currently a Computational Biology Ph.D. student in the Joint Carnegie Mellon-University of Pittsburgh program. My research interests involve distributed machine learning algorithms to analyze massive biological image datasets from a variety of sources, such as fluorescence microscopy or video.

You’ll find pretty much anything you ever wanted to know about me (and probably more) on these pages. I do recognize and respect the need for professional decorum, but I also take everything in moderation (including moderation), so let the reader beware of the occasional sarcastic quip or grandiose statement
